Honorable Ugochukwu NwaokoroDeputy Mayor, City of Newark, New Jersey

Honorable Ugochukwu Nwaokoro joined the family of New Africa Broadcasting Network NABN in 2017 as a Chairman of the Advisory Board.

Hon. Ugochukwu Nwaokoro is the Deputy Mayor of the city Of Newark. A brilliant writer and a community advocate, “Ugo” was a columnist with Kwenu, an online magazine that caters to Africans in the diaspora.

Hon. Ugochukwu Nwaokoro is a graduate of Political Science from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. He is also a Microsoft-Certified Engineer and worked for several years with AT&T as a Project Implementation Manager.

Hon. Nwaokoro currently serves as the founding chairman of the United African Forum, the sociopolitical home of all diaspora Africans in the United States of America. On July 1, 2014, Hon. Ugo. Nwaokoro became the pioneer Deputy Mayor of the City of Newark, in charge of the Mayor’s Office of International Relations and Diaspora Affairs (MOIRDA), and has been in that office to date.
